MTB TRAILRADAR - FAQ What is MTB TrailRadar? MTB TrailRadar helps riders compare weather-informed estimates for MTB riding areas and prepare rides. It combines terrain information with Apple WeatherKit data. Trail conditions, safety and legal access are not guaranteed. Why isn't the closest trail always recommended? The closest trail is not always the best one. TrailRadar compares available riding areas using estimated weather- and terrain-informed conditions. The nearest area may not have the most promising estimate. How is the trail score calculated? The Trail Score combines terrain characteristics, recent weather information and forecast trends from Apple WeatherKit. Different terrains react differently to rain, humidity and temperature. The score is a planning estimate, not a measurement of actual ground conditions. Why does a trail have a low score even when it's sunny? Sunny weather does not always mean ideal trail conditions. An area may still be wet or muddy after rainfall, or affected by snow and local drainage even when the sky is clear. What does "Best Rides" show? Best Rides highlights promising riding areas based on estimated current and upcoming conditions. It helps Premium users compare options; it does not confirm that a trail is open, safe or rideable. What is the difference between Radar and Best Rides? Radar lets you explore the available riding areas and their condition estimates when Radar access is active. Best Rides ranks promising riding options using current and forecast estimates as a Premium feature. Can I add my own trail areas? Yes. Use the "+" control to create a custom trail-area spot. You can also save favourite riding areas in My Spots. What is "My Spots"? My Spots brings your saved favourite and user-created trail areas together for quick access. What does Premium unlock? Premium includes: - Advanced TrailRadar analysis and trail-condition details - Best Rides and riding-area rankings - Unlimited supported bikes and vehicles in the Garage Premium is available through optional monthly or annual auto-renewable Apple StoreKit subscriptions. Prices, periods and renewal terms are shown before an explicit purchase. Is the 7-day Radar access an Apple subscription trial? No. Radar may be available for 168 hours from the original app purchase date in a verified Apple AppTransaction. This separate app-controlled window does not activate a paid subscription, unlock all Premium features or charge you when it ends. What is the Garage? The Garage helps you manage: - Bikes and supported vehicles - Maintenance - Spare parts - Service reminders The Garage also supports service history and riding logs. Free users can manage one bike; Premium removes the supported-bike limit. Can the Garage remind me about maintenance? Yes. The Garage helps you keep track of maintenance schedules and important service intervals. Does TrailRadar work only in Europe? No. MTB TrailRadar includes preloaded riding areas in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific (the Pacific region in the app). Select your region during setup. Availability varies by area; the preloaded spots are not a complete list of trails and do not establish legal access or trail status. Which languages does the app support? The interface supports eight languages: English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Slovenian, Japanese and Traditional Chinese. How often is weather data updated? The app requests weather information from Apple WeatherKit when refreshing relevant riding areas. Updates depend on connectivity, provider availability and cache freshness; there is no guaranteed fixed refresh interval. Can I send feedback or suggest new features? Absolutely. Open Help in the app to prepare a message, or contact support@furbotechlabs.com directly. You choose whether to send an email. Every suggestion helps improve TrailRadar. Who created MTB TrailRadar? MTB TrailRadar was created by riders, for riders. The goal is simple: Help riders evaluate promising riding areas and prepare better-informed rides. Why should I trust TrailRadar? TrailRadar doesn't simply look at weather forecasts. Its terrain- and weather-informed estimates offer another planning signal. They cannot confirm actual trail conditions, closures or safety: always check official notices and local information. Will TrailRadar tell me exactly which trail to ride? No. TrailRadar focuses on riding areas, not verified turn-by-turn trails. It helps compare estimated conditions; it is not a navigation, rescue or trail-closure service. Why do different trail areas react differently to the same weather? Every terrain is unique. Rocky, dirt, sandy and mixed terrains respond differently to rainfall, humidity and temperature. TrailRadar takes these differences into account when evaluating conditions. How can I support MTB TrailRadar? Choosing an optional Premium subscription and sharing feedback through Help can support continued improvement of MTB TrailRadar.
